Art Deco Cabochon Sapphire & Rose Cut Diamond Bar Brooch, circa 1930
Neatly made and very easy on the eye. The feature stone is a deep blue natural cabochon sapphire in a close-backed rubover setting, with 10 (five either side) rose cut diamonds of graduating size. Note stunningly intricate pierced gallery. Secured with a C clasp.
Cut– Oval cabochon sapphire and rose cut diamonds
Colour– Diamonds are H to I.
Clarity – The sapphire is eye-clean. The diamonds are between VS2 and SI2, but are also all clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 1.75 carat, with an estimated 1.00 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1930.
Measurements – 42.8mm long and 9.2mm at the widest point.
Metal – 18k white and yellow gold. Tested.
