Art Deco Calibré Cut Ruby & Old Cut Diamond Star Ring, circa 1920
One of the most impressive antique ruby and diamond rings we’ve discovered. This stunning – and stunningly made – features features eighteen strong pinkish red special cut rubies arranged in a six pronged star, within a circular pavé head that holds twenty-five old cut diamonds (with a further four diamonds – two each side – set in the platinum shoulders), leading to a fluted yellow gold shank. Utterly spectacular.

Cut – Calibré cut rubies and old cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to I.
Clarity – The diamonds are SI1 to SI2.
Carat – Approximately 0.55 carat of rubies with approximately 0.30 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1920.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 13.1mm in diameter and sits 3.6mm from the finger.
Size – K 1/2 (UK) or 5 3/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Metal – 18k gold. The diamonds are set in platinum. Tested.
