Art Deco Carré Cut Diamond & Ruby Square Cluster Ring, circa 1920
An exceptional Art Deco ruby and diamond ring. At the centre is a blindingly white carré cut diamond, rubover and milgrain set within a surround of twelve rose cut diamonds and twenty synthetic pinkish red rubies. The square cluster features a simply vented gallery on triple-split shoulders conforming to a slim, 18k yellow gold shank.
Cut – Carré cut diamond in the centre with rose cut diamond and French cut rubies
Colour – The centre diamond is E colour with H to J colour rose cut diamonds.
Clarity – The centre is VS1. The rose cut diamonds are SI1 to I1; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The centre is approximately 0.13 carat, with a further approximate weight of 0.18 carat of rose cuts. The total approximate ruby weight is 0.50 carat
Circa – 1920.
Size – P (UK) or 7.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – The head of the rings is 12 x 12mm and sits 4.7mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold. The diamonds are set in platinum. Tested.
