Art Deco Natural Pearl & Old Cut Diamond Earrings, circa 1920
A very pretty pair of Art Deco earrings. The natural pearls appear to have once been threaded on a necklace (both are drilled through) and show impressive lustre. The pearls drop from an articulated diamond setting, each one holding three old cut diamonds and eight rose cuts, leading to fishhook back.
Cut – The three larger stones in each earring are old mine / miner cuts, with rose cut diamonds in the surround.
Colour – The diamonds are G
Clarity – VS1.
Carat – Each earring holds approximately 0.43 carat, so an overall estimated diamond weight of 0.86.
Circa – 1920.
Measurements – From the top diamond to the pearl is 26mm
Metal – The diamonds are set in platinum. The fishhook backs and the setting hold ing the pearl are 18k gold.
