Art Deco Natural Tahitian Pearl & Old Cut Diamond Pin Brooch, circa 1940
A beautiful natural Tahitian pearl showcased at the centre of a fine pin brooch. The pearl displays a shimmering metallic grey, the colour of which is emphasised by high white old cut diamonds rubover set either side. A further twenty-eight (fourteen either side) old cut diamonds are grain-set in the shaped arms of the pin. Wonderfully elegant.
Accompanied by a report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory (London) stating the pearl is natural, saltwater.
Cut – Old mine cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to I.
Clarity – The diamond are SI1 to I1; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – A total approximate diamond weight of 0.52 carat
Circa – 1940.
Measurements – The pearl is approximately 8.2 x 7mm. The brooch is 55.7mm.
Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
