Art Deco Old Cut Diamond & Baguette Cut Sapphire Ring, French, dated 1933
A seriously lovely French Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring. The old mine cut in the centre is rubover and milgrain set in platinum, and floats within a geometric lateral cluster. Adorned with ten small rose cuts and two pairs of baguette cut blue sapphires with fine beading and milgraining. On a slim, graduating white gold shank.
The engraving inside the band reads: ’15 – 9 – 33 Roger’. Some or all of this can be removed if you prefer.
Cut – Old cut diamond in the centre, with rose cut diamonds in the surround. The sapphires are baguette cuts.
Colour – The centre is G; the rose cut diamonds are I to J.
Clarity – The centre is VS1; all the other stones are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – A total approximate diamond weight of 0.17 carat. The total approximate sapphire weight is 0.20 carat.
Dated – 1933.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 8.6 x 13.1mm. Sits 4.1mm from the finger.
Size – N (UK) or 6.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Metal – 18k white gold and platinum. French hallmarks.
