Art Deco Sapphire & Diamond Lotus Drop Earrings, circa 1925
Very, very beautiful indeed. A bright, cornflower blue natural sapphire rests in the centre of a stylised star lotus setting, crafted from two overlapping lines of old cut diamonds. An articulated linking bar, featuring a trio of cabochon sapphires, leads to a three-stone diamond set post. A glorious design realised with top grade gems.

Cut – The diamonds are old cuts. The sapphires are square cabochon, pear cabochon and round old cut.
Colour –The diamonds are G to I.
Clarity – The diamonds are SI1 to I1; all the gems are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – Each of the sapphires in the centre of the cluster are approximately 0.90 carat, with a total overall estimate sapphire weight of 3.23 carat. The total estimated diamond weight is 1.72 carat.
Circa – 1925.
Measurements – From the very top of the earring to the bottom is 37.75mm. The drop is 17.9mm in diameter.
Metal – Platinum backed in 18k gold. Tested.
