Art Deco Sapphire & Diamond Plaque Ring with Original Box, French, circa 1930
A ring with everything going for it. The quality of gems is faultless, with bright white and clean transitional cut and eight-cut diamonds, and sapphire of a rich and lively royal blue. The central diamond is claw set within an oval surround of specially cut calibre sapphires which are rubover and tension set in yellow gold. The delicately pierced surround features a further fourteen eight-cut diamonds leading to a slim yellow gold band with white gold shoulders. This is proof that jewels bring joy.
Cut – The centre diamond is transitional cut, with eight cut diamonds in the surround. The sapphires are calibre cuts.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – VS2. All the stones are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The centre stone is approximately 0.35 carat.
Circa – 1930.

Measurements – The head of the ring is 21.75mm by 13mm and sits 6mm from the finger.
