Art Deco Tourmaline & Old Cut Diamond Cluster Pin Brooch, circa 1940
A highly impressive late Art Deco pin brooch. The cushion shaped tourmaline in the centre is a rich, electric blue, and is bordered by fourteen white and bright old mine cut diamonds. The centre cluster sits in a the centre of a ultra fine, white gold, knife-edge pin and is secured by a rose gold closure.
Cut – Cushion cut tourmaline and old mine cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to I.
Clarity –The diamond are SI1 to SI3; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The tourmaline is approximately 1.50 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.84 carat.
Circa – 1940.
Measurements – The cluster is 13.6 x 13.6mm. The pin is 56.6mm wide.
Metal – Stamped 9CT – 9k rose and white gold – and tests as such.
