Art Nouveau 4.60 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Rose Cut Diamond Ring, French, circa 1900
The blue in this natural Ceylon sapphire ring is just about perfect. The bright, rich gemstone – certified as natural and with no indications of heating – displays glowing cornflower hue. Fourteen rose cut diamonds are rubover set in the silver surround, with stunning scroll detailing in the under-gallery. On a slim, rose gold shank. So utterly beautiful.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire and rose cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The sapphire is eye clean. The diamonds are VS2 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 4.60 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.42 carat.
Circa – 1900.
Size – N 1/2 (UK) or 6.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 11.5 x 8.2mm. The head of the ring is 17.9 x 14.5mm and sits 5.7mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k rose gold. The diamonds and sapphire are set in silver. French hallmarks.
