Art Nouveau Natural Saltwater Pearl Pin Brooch, circa 1900

Item #: 65AB908.

A truly special natural pearl, beautifully and simply showcased. The blister pearl (meaning the pearl grew attached to the mollusk shell resulting in it’s irregular dome shape) is claw-set in a hand-made collet. The smooth, creamy lustre of the pearl contrasts with the hammered vine leaves – with subtle heart details at either end adding further detail to this Art Nouveau beauty.

Accompanied by a report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory (London) stating the pearl is natural, saltwater.

Carat – The pearl is a known 6.70 carat.

Circa – 1905.

Measurements – The pearl is 10 x 10.8 x 8.9mm. The brooch is 4.65cm across.

Weight – 6.81 grams

Metal – Stamped 18CT – 18k yellow gold – and tests as such.
