Art Nouveau Pearl, Amethyst & Rose Cut Diamond Pin Brooch, circa 1905
An almost unbearably gorgeous Art Nouveau brooch. The asymmetrical floral motif features two buds: one a rich, regal purple amethyst; the other a white, lustrous pearl. Crafted in silver – which has oxidised to a striking dark grey – backed in yellow gold and set with sixteen rose cut diamonds sweeping and curved pin.
Cut – Round cut amethyst and rose cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to I.
Clarity –The diamond are SI1 to SI3; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The tourmaline is approximately 0.40 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.22 carat.
Circa – 1905.
Measurements – The pin measures approximately 65.6mm across and is 21.5mm at the widest point.
Metal – 9k gold and oxidised silver. Tested.
