Art Nouveau Tiara, circa 1900
An impressive and important Art Nouveau tiara. The central part of the top ornament, crafted in 9k yellow gold, is a finely crafted a foliate design featuring five beautifully realised leaves inter-set with three bright red “berries” – depicted here as pear-cut garnets in closed back settings. The gold panel is embraced by silver “vines” supported by stylised foliate detailing, this time in blackened silver.
The lower band of the tiara features a double wire – spaced by further ornate detailing – allowing for plenty of room for your stylist to wrap the tiara in the appropriate ribbons.
Size – The opening is 13.5cm. There is scope for readjusting if required. Please contact us first.
Metal – 9k yellow gold and silver. Tested.
Gems – Pear cut garnets. Total approximate weight of 5 carat.
Condition – There is a small chip on one of the garnets. This can be seen in the photos.
