Avant Garde Purple Sapphire & Rose Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1965
Daring, striking and just a little bit bonkers. The natural sapphire is a richly saturated and regal purple, set off-centre and partially surrounded by seven rose cut diamonds of graduating size. A further eighteen eight-cut diamonds are set either side of the rose cuts. A fabulously interesting and perfectly unique ring.
Cut – The sapphire is an oval shaped mixed cut. The diamonds are eight cuts and rose cuts.
Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The sapphire is clean to the naked eye. The diamonds range from VS1 to SI1 and are also clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 0.70 carat, with a total estimated diamond weight of 0.98 carat.
Circa – 1965.
Size – K (UK) or 5 1/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down. Please note, that the given size includes the internal sizing adjuster. This will be removed should the ring need altering.
Measurements – The ring is 10.9mm at the widest point and sits 4.5mm from the finger.
Metal – 14k white gold. Tested.
