BUCCELLATI 1.56 Carat Sapphire & 1.41 Carat Diamond Brooch, circa 1960
A truly lovely piece from one of Italy’s most important and influential jewellery houses. This Buccellati brooch features a sapphire of a rich, deep hue rubover set in scalloped silver. Six diamond-set silver leaves – each holding five stones – surrounds the central sapphire, which are interspaced by finely crafted yellow gold foliate detailing. Secured to the rear with a pin and trombone clasp.

Cut – Cushion cut sapphire with round brilliant and eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to I.
Clarity – The sapphire is VS. The diamonds are SI1 to SI1; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 1.56 carat, with approximately 1.41 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1960.
Measurements – The brooch is 28 x 25mm.
Metal – 18k yellow gold and silver. Tested.
