Early 20th Century 1.40 Carat Old Cut Diamond & Sapphire Five Stone Ring, circa 1930
An exceptional early 20th century five stone ring, set with three high white old cut diamonds of graduating size and a pair of royal blue natural sapphires. The ornamentation in the gallery and the double claws are typical of fine Victorian jewellery, but this slightly later piece is realised in white gold allowing the brightness and vibrancy of the stones to really pop. An absolute treasure.
Cut – Old mine / miner cut diamonds and round faceted sapphires.
Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS2 to SI2
Carat – The central diamond is 0.70 with a total approximate diamond weight of 1.40 carat. The total approximate sapphire weight is 1.00 carat.
Circa – 1930.
Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – From the edge of one diamond to the other is 22mm. The ring is 6.4mm at the widest point and sits 4.8mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k white gold.
