Early 20th Century 5.50 Carat Almandine Garnet Scorpion Brooch, circa 1925

A fun and fantastic brooch. This stunningly made scorpion is set with six  large step cut almandine garnets of graduating sizes, and two small cabochon sapphire eyes. Beautifully detailed.

Cut – Step cut garnets and round cabochon sapphires.

Clarity – All the gems are clean to the naked eye.

Carat – A total approximate garnet weight of 5.50 carat. The total sapphire weight is estimated at 0.04 carat.

Circa – 1925.

Measurements – 67.9 x 27.2mm

Metal – 9k gold. Tested.
