Early 20th Century Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Ring, dated 1914
A stunningly well preserved early 20th century sapphire and old cut diamond ring. The four natural sapphires – two rounds, and two oval cuts – are a light, bright cornflower blue. Two pairs of old cut diamonds inter-space the sapphires within a pierced gallery, leading to a D-shaped shank. With clear hallmarks from the Chester assay, 1914.
Cut – Old mine cut diamonds, with two round sapphire and two oval sapphires.
Colour – The diamonds are H to I.
Clarity – The diamonds are SI2 to I1 – all are clean to the naked eye. The sapphires are eye-clean.
Carat – The sapphires are approximately 0.35 carat. The total diamond weight is approximately 0.08 carat.
Dated – 1914.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 14.6 x 5.7mm. Sits 3.2mm from the finger.
Size – L (UK) or 5.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Metal – 18k gold. Hallmarks from the Chester assay.
