Edwardian 0.50 Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Ring, dated 1908
A wonderful early 20th century sapphire and diamond ring. The three royal blue sapphire are spaced by two pairs of old mine cut diamonds. The closed, smooth gallery leads to beautifully carved detailing in the shoulders.
Cut – Round faceted sapphires and old mine / miner cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G.
Clarity – All the stones are clean to the naked eye; VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The centre sapphire is approximately 0.25 carat, with a total estimated sapphire weight of 0.50 carat. Each of the four diamonds is approximately 0.02 carat.
Dated – 1908.
Size – N 1/2 (UK) or 6.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – The ring is 5.8mm at the widest point and sits 3.1mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k gold. Hallmarks from the Birmingham (UK) Assay, dated 1908.
