Edwardian 0.62 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1910
The prettiest of vintage engagement rings. The cushion shaped old mine cut diamond in the centre – graded by HRD Antwerp as G colour, VS2 clarity – is arrestingly white and lively. The stone is secured by four split claws within a platinum collet with diamond shaped detailing in the gallery. Delicate diamond-set leaf-shaped shoulders lead to a slim, knife-edge platinum shank.
