Edwardian 0.85 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1910
A magnificent and ornate old cut diamond engagement ring. The central diamond is proudly mounted in an eight claw scalloped back setting. Intricate and decorative scrolling shoulders feature three eight cut diamond and one baguette cut diamond either side. Wonderfully detailed and unique – a rare beauty.
Cut – Old mine / miner cut in the centre, with baguette cuts and eight cuts in the shoulders.
Colour – All stones are H.
Clarity – The centre stone is SI2, but clean and clear to the naked eye. The accent diamonds are VS2.
Carat – 0.85 in the centre, with an estimated total of 0.22 carat in the shoulders.
Circa – 1910.
Measurements – The setting, including the back plate, is 8.9mm. Sits 8mm from the finger.
Size – R 1/2 (UK) or 8 7/8 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can go up or down in size.
Metal – Platinum. Tested.
