Edwardian 0.90 Carat Natural Burmese Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1910
A ring of undeniably beauty and quality. The natural, unenhanced sapphire displays a bold cobalt blue with clear flashes of violet. A single row of ten old European cut diamonds, rubover set in platinum, encircle the centre leading to strikingly formed tri-split shoulders leads to a slim yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire and old European cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – All stones are clean to the naked eye; VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 0.90 carat. The total approximate diamond weight approximately 0.50 carat.
Circa – 1910.
Size – P 1/2 (UK) or 7.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 6.2 x 5.1mm. The head of the ring is 12.1 x 10.5mm and sits 4.8mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold and platinum. Tested.
