Edwardian 12.00 Carat Star Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1910
A lovely greyish blue – almost moon coloured – sapphire which displays a distinct asterism. Twelve high white old cut rubover and milgrain set diamonds are spaced around the stone, leading to a beautifully detailed stripped back gallery. Striking and marvellously distinctive.
Cut – Round cabochon sapphire and old mine cut diamonds.
Colour – Diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS1. There are some inclusions in the sapphire, most noticeably on the bottom of the stone.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 12.oo carat, with a total estimated diamond weight of 1.20 carat.
Circa – 1910.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 19mm by 17.5mm and sits 9.4mm from the finger.
Size – O 1/2 (UK) or 7.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Metal – Platinum. Tested.
