Edwardian 3.50 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire Ring, circa 1910

A stunning natural Ceylon sapphire in a stunning ring. The bright, cornflower blue centre stone – certified as having had no head treatment – is secured by eight platinum claws in a wonderfully detailed surround featuring overlapping circular designs dotted with sixteen eight-cut diamonds, leading to diamond set shoulders to a slim yellow gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Round cut sapphire with eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G.
Clarity – The sapphire is clean to the naked eye. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 3.50 carat, with approximately 0.24 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1910.
Size – P (UK) or 7.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 7.4 x 7.1mm. The head of the ring is 18.4 x 18.3mm and sits 6.4mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow gold and platinum. Tested.
