Edwardian 6.00 Carat Minor Oil Colombian Emerald & Old Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1910
A hypnotically beautiful ring. The clean, clear and glowing Colombian emerald is rubover set in yellow gold, with sixteen cushion shaped old cut diamonds in the surround. The cluster sits nice and low to the finger, with incredibly detailed scroll work in the under-gallery. The slim 18k yellow gold shank features lovely engraving down the shoulders – further detail to this most impressive of pieces.
Accompanied by an emerald report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the emerald has only had minor clarity enhancement and is Colombian in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut emerald and old cushion cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamond are H to I.
Clarity – Although there are some visible inclusions in the emerald, this has exceptional clarity for an emerald. The diamonds are VS2 to SI1.
Carat – The emerald is approximately 6.00 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 2.40 carat.
Circa – 1910.
Measurements – The emerald is approximately 14 x 11mm. The head of the ring is 21.6 x 20mm. Sits 5.5mm from the finger.
