Edwardian 8.04 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire Ring, circa 1910

An amazing stone in an amazing mount. The glowing natural and unheated Ceylon sapphire is rubover and milgrain set in the most impressive of surrounds. The intricately carved and engraved foliate and floral gallery – with four “featured” white flowers – leads to equally ornate carved shoulders to a D-shaped shank. Exceptional craftsmanship.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and originates from Sri Lanka (Ceylon).

Cut – Cushion cut.

Clarity – VS2.

Carat – 8.04.

Circa – 1910.

Measurements – The head of the ring is approximately 17.6mm by 12.7mm and sits 8.4mm from the finger.
