Edwardian Emerald & Rose Cut Diamond Marquise Cluster Earrings, French, circa 1905
A superb pair of early 20th century emerald and diamond earrings. The vivid green emeralds radiate from the centre of the marquise shaped clusters, with ten (twenty total) rose cut diamonds surrounding the centre stone within a fine, hand-sawn coronet gallery. With hinged fittings.
Cut – The emeralds are elongated ovals. The diamonds are rose cuts.
Colour –The diamonds are H to I.
Clarity – The emerald are SI2. The diamonds are VS1 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – Each emerald is approximately 0.40 carat, with an approximate diamond weight of 0.30 on each earring.
Circa – 1905.
Measurements – The clusters are approximately 13.3 x 9.3mm. From the top of the hook to the bottom of the cluster is approximately 21.4mm.
Metal – 18k gold. French hallmarks.
