Edwardian Opal & Pearl Brooch, circa 1905
A wonderfully intricate Edwardian brooch. The fine, delicate metal work is studded with eight natural seed pearls and set, at the centre, with a round cabochon opal. Three natural fresh water pearl hang from bottom, adding movement to this most lovely of panel brooches.
Carat – The opal is approximately 1.50 carat.
Circa – 1905.
Measurements – The brooch, not including the freshwater pearl drops, is 25.8 x 20.3mm.
Metal – 18k gold. The pin is 9k gold. Tested.
