Edwardian Ruby & Rose Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, dated 1905
An indisputably stunning antique ruby and diamond ring. The bright, traffic-light red ruby is bead set within an open backed setting, and is surrounded by eight high white rose cut diamonds in foiled, closed backed settings. Ornate and decoratively etched shoulders lead to a wide, D-shaped yellow gold shank.
With clear hallmarks indicating the Chester Assay, 1905.
Cut – Round old cut ruby and rose cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G.
Clarity – The ruby is VS. The diamonds are SI1 to SI3
Carat – The ruby is approximately 0.17 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 0.16 carat.
Dated – 1905.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 9mm in diameter and sits 3mm from the finger.
