Edwardian Sapphire & Diamond Pendant, circa 1910
An unbelievably beautiful pendant. Set with 144 rose cut and old cut diamonds arranged in two circles adorned with floral and foliate motifs, and crapped with a scrolling “ribbon” – through which passes the chain. The two natural sapphires – one suspended in the (articulated) central circle, and one at the bottom of the piece – provide contrast to the high white diamonds. Craftsmanship of the highest order.
