Edwardian Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Three Stone Ring, dated 1903
This stunning ring, with date marks from 1903, features a glowing royal blue sapphire flanked by a pair of bright and colourless old cut diamonds. Two pairs of diamond spacers sit between the sapphire and main diamonds, with a further two stones set at the top of the band. The carved scrolling detailing in the gallery continues into the shoulders to a solid D-shaped shank.
Cut – The sapphire is a round cut with old cut diamonds either side. The smaller accent stones are eight-cut diamonds
Colour – Diamonds are E to F.
Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are SI1 to SI2 (but clean to the naked eye).
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 0.80 carat. Each of the larger diamonds is approximately 0.60 carat, with a further additional 0.12 carat of accent diamonds.
Dated – 1903.
Size – O (UK) or 7 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 19.2 x 6.6mm. Sits 4.5mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k gold. Full hallmarks from the Birmingham (UK) assay.
