F & F FELGER 6.35 Carat Natural Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring, American, circa 1940
High quality in every aspect. This gorgeous ring, crafted by one of the most important American jewellery makers of the early 20th century, features a glowing sky blue natural, unheated Ceylon sapphire. The central stone is set in a surround of fourteen brilliant cut and four baguette cut diamonds in an exceptionally crafted cluster. Utter class.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire with brilliant cut and baguette cut diamonds.
Colour – Diamonds are G
Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are VS1.
Carat – The sapphire is 6.35 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.46 carat.
Circa – 1940.
Condition – The sapphire has very faint nibbling on the girdle; can only be seen using a loupe.
Size – K 1/2 (UK) or 5 3/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 11.29 x 9.25mm. The head of the ring is 15.25 x 16.4mm and sits 7.9mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum. Stamped.
