Georgian 1.23 Carat Rose Cut Diamond Ring, circa 1820

A stunning ring; as much a piece of history as it is a piece of jewellery. The oval shaped rose cut diamond in the centre – with a guaranteed weight of 1.23 carat – is white, bright and utterly glowing. The principle stone is rubover and claw set in a closed back foiled setting, and sits atop a fabulously ornate carved setting which is studded with a further twenty-two rose cut diamonds.
Cut – Rose cut.
Colour – High white. (Due to the closed-back setting, it is not possible to assess a specific colour grade.)
Clarity – Eye clean. (Due to the closed-back setting, it is not possible to assess a specific clarity grade.)
Carat – The centre is a known 1.23 carat, with an additional approximate 0.30 carat in the gallery.
Circa – 1820.
Size – H (UK) or 3.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Condition – Signs of a resize as the base of the band. This can be repair when the ring is sized.
Measurements – The diamond is 9.1 x 7.8mm. The ring is 11.6mm at the widest point and sits 7.5mm from the finger.
Metal – 15k gold. Tested.
