Late 20th Century 1.89 Carat Natural Burmese Ruby & Diamond Ring, circa 1975
An original and impressively crafted vintage ruby ring. The centre stone – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Myanmar (Burma) – is a bright pinkish red. A wonderful, multi-level surround features six (three either side) round brilliant cut diamonds, with a further eighteen baguette cut diamonds. The wired gallery leads to a flat triple-shank.
Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut ruby with baguette cut and round brilliant cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The ruby is 1.89 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.66 carat.
Circa – 1975.
Size – N (UK) or 6.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The ruby is 8.9 x 6.5mm. The head of the ring is 15.4 x 13.7mm. Sits 10.4mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
