Late 20th Century 12.80 Carat Natural Teal Sapphire & Diamond Ring, dated 1987
A rare, unique and truly special teal sapphire. The impressively large stone – conservatively estimated to weight 12.8 carat, and certified as natural and unheated – displays a fantastic greyish blue / teal colour. Sixteen high white and bright round brilliant cut diamonds (each approximate 0.10 carat) are rubover set around the sapphire, with “U” detailing in the gallery leading to a slim, 18k white gold shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Madagascan in origin.
With hallmarks from the London Assay, 1987.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire and round brilliant cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are E to F.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS1 to SI1.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 12.80 carat, with a total approximate diamond weight of 1.60 carat.
Dated – 1987.
Size – P 1/2 (UK) or 7.75 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 16 x 10.7mm. The head of the ring is 24.4 x 17.35 and sits 8.1mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k white gold. Hallmarked.
