Late 20th Century 3.25 Carat Natural Thai Ruby & Diamond Ring, French, circa 1980

Sophisticated and elegant. The high quality Thai ruby displays a deep red with clear flashes of crimson, and is surrounded by fourteen brilliant cut diamonds of the highest quality. The round cheniers in the gallery are interspersed with triangle detailing, leading to a solid D-shaped platinum shank which splits at the shoulders.

Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is from Thailand.

Cut – Oval cut ruby and round brilliant cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are F to G.

Clarity – Some inclusions in the ruby are visible to the naked eye (as is to be expected in rubies). The diamonds are VS1.

Carat – The ruby is 3.25 carat. The total approximate diamond weight approximately 0.84 carat.

Circa – 1980.

Size – K 1/2 (UK) or 5 3/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The ruby is approximately 10.3 x 8.4mm. The head of the ring is 17.7 x 16.1mm and sits 8.1mm from the finger.
