Late 20th Century 3.58 Carat Sapphire Solitaire Ring, French, circa 1970
An absolutely electric sapphire ring. The magnificently bright and glowing oval cut sapphire is set laterally and secured by two yellow gold crescent claws leading to a nicely substantial yellow gold shank. Twenty (ten each side) eight cut diamonds are set in the shoulders in a “bowling pin” formation, with a further twenty six (thirteen each side) round brilliant cut diamonds pavé set in the gallery. Bold, unique and very stylish.
