Late 20th Century Emerald & Four Diamonds Cluster Ring, circa 1970

This is utterly bonkers, and wonderful for it. The glowing green emerald cut emerald is set in the middle of two old cut and two transitional cut diamonds. The central cluster is rests on a yellow gold crossover band set with baguette cut diamonds at the shoulders. Wonderfully eccentric.

Cut – Emerald cut emerald. There are two old mine / miner cuts and two transitional cut diamonds at the top of the ring, and two transitional cut diamonds in the shoulders.

Colour – The diamonds are G.

Clarity – Some natural inclusions in the emerald, which is normal for this gemstone. The diamonds are between VS1 and SI1; all are clean to the naked eye.

Carat – The emerald is approximately 0.50 carat. Each of the four diamonds in the head of the ring are approximately 0.40 carat, with two 0.05 carat baguette cuts.

Circa – 1970.

Size – Q (UK) or 8 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The head of the ring is 14.1mm by 14.7mm and sits 7mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k gold. Hallmarked.
