Late 20th Century Natural Sapphire & Tapered Baguette Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1975

A statement sapphire in a statement ring. The central sapphire – certified as natural and unheated – displays a subtle colour change; brownish green in daylight and purplish brown in incandescent light. Twenty high white and bright baguette cut diamonds radiate from the centre stone, with the end of each “ray” set with two small round brilliant cut diamonds. A dynamic and unique ring.

Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is Madagascan in origin.

Cut – Oval cut sapphire with tapered baguette and round brilliant cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are F to G.

Clarity – The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.

Carat – The sapphire is 2.04 carat. Each of the baguette cuts is approximately 0.06 carat, with a total over all estimated diamond weight of 1.40 carat.

Circa – 1975.

Size – O (UK) or 7 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The sapphire is 8.3 x 6.1mm. The head of the ring is 19 x 15.8mm. Sits 6.2mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
