Late 20th Century Sapphire & Diamond “Chandelier” Dress Ring, circa 1965
Delightfully bonkers! The central sapphire is a gorgeous and bright blue, claw set atop a “dome” of thirty eight-cut diamonds. Fourteen curved wires surround the central cluster, each with a rubover set articulated diamond drop, which leads to beautifully crafted five-wire shank. Unique striking and stunningly made.
Cut – Oval cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – Diamonds are G.
Clarity – All the stones are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The sapphire is approximately 0.70 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.44 carat.
Circa – 1965.
Measurements – The sapphire is approximately 6.6 by 5mm. The central cluster is 11 x 9.7mm. The ring sits 9.3mm from the finger.
Size – J 1/2 (UK) or 5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
