Mid Century 0.68 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1950
A cushion shaped old miner cut which displays a seriously impressive amount of vibrancy and sparkle is held in an eight claw open collet atop a scalloped back plate. The decorative shoulders split at the top, and hold six (three each side) eight cut diamonds. Ornate yet sturdy, this lovely is a cracker of an engagement ring.
Cut – Cushion shaped old mine / miner cut in the centre, with eight cut diamonds in the shoulders.
Colour – The centre diamond is L. The accents stones are G.
Clarity –VS1.
Carat – 0.68 carat in the centre, with an estimated 0.06 carat total in the shoulders.

Measurements – The central “plate” is 8.2mm in diameter and sits 6.7mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k yellow and white gold. Hallmarked.
