Mid Century 0.70 Carat Burmese Ruby Solitaire Ring, circa 1960
A super alternative engagement ring. The oval cut ruby – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Myanmar (Burma) – displays a bright, pinkish red. The stone is secured in an eight-claw coronet collet leading to a slim, D-shaped shank set with six (three each side) eight-cut diamond in the shoulders.
Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut ruby with eight-cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The ruby is approximately 0.70 carat with approximately 0.06 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1960.
Size – M (UK) or 6 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The ruby is 6.7 x 5.2mm and sits 5mm from the finger
Metal – Stamped 18CT – 18k white gold – and tests as such.
