Mid Century 1.04 Carat Old Oval Cut Diamond Dress Ring, circa 1960

A masterful and exciting ring. The central old cut diamond – a fabulous oval shape – is rubover and milgrain set in platinum, and sits within the most gloriously detailed surround. With a total of thirty round brilliant cut diamonds and a pair of tapered baguettes in a striking and intricately crafted shoulders, so a flat platinum shank. Daring and unique.

Cut – Oval shaped old mine cut in the centre, with tapered baguettes and round brilliants in the shank.

Colour – The centre stone is K. The surrounding diamonds are F to H.

Clarity – The centre is VS2. The surrounding diamonds are VS1 to SI1; all are clean to the naked eye.

Carat – The centre is a known 1.04 carat. The approximate weight of the accent stones is 0.45 carat.

Circa – 1960.

Measurements – The ring is 9.4mm at the widest point and sits 4.9mm from the finger.
