Mid Century 1.17 Carat Ruby & Diamond Pear Drop Pendant, circa 1970

A wonderfully pretty ruby and diamond pendant. Two round ruby rubies are set at the top of the articulated pendant, leading to a pear cut ruby bordered by twelve brilliant and eight-cut diamonds of graduating size.

Cut – Pear cut and round cut rubies. The diamonds are round brilliant cuts and eight-cuts.

Colour – The diamonds are H to I.

Clarity – Some visible inclusions in the rubies, as is normal and expected in this gemstone. The diamonds I1; all are clean to the naked eye.

Carat – The total approximate ruby weight is 1.17 carat, with approximately 0.28 carat of diamonds.

Circa – 1970.

Measurements – From top to bottom, not including the bale, is 23mm.

Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
