Mid Century 1.26 Carat Old Cut Diamond Engagement Ring, circa 1965
A fine and lively Victorian old cut diamond set in a fantastic mount from circa 1965. The central diamond is held in a unusual and striking ten-claw closed-back basket collet. Six (three either side) eight cut diamonds are set in the tapering “knife” shoulders which leads to a solid D-shape shank.

Cut – Cushion shaped old mine cut in the centre with eight cuts in the shoulders.

Carat – 1.26 in the centre with a further 0.09 carat in the shoulders.
Circa – 1965.
Size – N (UK) or 6.5 (US). Complementary sizing in available, can go up or down in size.
Measurements – The diamond, including the claws, is 7.3mm by 7.1mm and sits 7mm from the finger.
