Mid Century 1.39 Carat Natural Burmese Ruby & Diamond Ballerina Ring, circa 1965
A magnificent ruby and diamond ballerina ring. The natural, unheated ruby in the centre displays a glowing, pinkish red and is claw set within a surround of thirty-four elongated tapered baguette diamonds. The undulating ‘skirt’ of diamonds are set atop a fine, wired gallery, leading to a slim, triple wired 18k white gold shank.
Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut ruby and tapered baguette cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are F to G.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.
Carat – The ruby is 1.39 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.38 carat.
Circa – 1965.
Size – Q 1/2 (UK) or 8.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The ruby is 8.03 x 5.90mm. The head of the ring is 15.25 x 13.75mm. Sits 8.2mm from the finger.
Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
