Mid Century 1.56 Carat Burmese Ruby & 2.90 Carat Diamond Ring, circa 1965
Blam! This amazing Burmese ruby and diamond cluster ring packs a proper wallop. The ruby displays a rich, deep pigeon blood ruby which is rubover set in white gold, and sits in a surround of thirty-two high white and lively round brilliant cut diamonds in an slightly bombé shaped oval coronet cluster, leading to a slim white gold shank. A dazzling and impressive statement piece.
Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin.
Cut – Oval cut ruby and round brilliant cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS2 to SI2; all are clean to the naked eye.
Carat – The ruby is a known 1.56 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.90 carat.
Circa – 1965.

Measurements – The ruby is 8.51 x 7.02mm. The head of the ring is 26.1 x 19.2mm. Sits 9mm from the finger.
