Mid Century 1.30 Carat Fire Opal & 0.72 Carat Diamond Ring, circa 1960
A flame for your finger! This most glowing and vivid fire opal displays a strong, tangerine orange. A frame of sixteen white and bright old cut diamonds are rubover and milgrain set in the surround leading to a triple-wire platinum shank set with four (two each side) rose cuts on the shoulders.

Cut – Square step cut fire opal. The diamonds in the surround are old mine cuts with rose cuts in the shoulders.
Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS2 to SI1.
Carat – The opal is approximately 1.30 with approximately 0.72 carat of diamonds.
Circa – 1940.
Size – M 1/2 (UK) or 6.25 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements – The head of the ring is 13.1 x 12.5mm. Sits 5.1mm from the finger.
Metal – Platinum, French hallmarks. The opal is set in 18k yellow gold (tested).
