Mid Century 16.33 Carat Natural Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1965

Grand and impressive. The natural and unheated Ceylon sapphire is a glowing and vibrant blue, and is set with eighteen colourless and internally clean brilliant cut diamonds in the surround. The wonderfully constructed wire gallery leads to a substantial grooved shank which splits at the shoulders.

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmoligical Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut – Octagonal cut (emerald cut) sapphire and round brilliant cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are F

Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are VS1.

Carat – The sapphire is 16.33 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.80 carat.

Circa – 1965.

Size – R (UK) or 8 5/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The sapphire is 14.91 x 10.08mm. The head of the ring is 23.4 x 19.1mm and sits 10.2mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k white gold. Tested.
