Mid Century 2.17 Carat Natural Burmese Ruby & Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, circa 1950
A devastatingly beautiful vintage ruby ring. The central ruby – certified as natural, unheated, an originating from Burma (Myanmar) – displays a bright pinkish red. The stone is claw set in yellow gold and surrounded by twelve chunky old mine cut diamonds in a white gold coronet setting leading to a D-shaped yellow gold shank. Just stunning.
Accompanied by a ruby report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the ruby shows no indication of heating, and is Burmese (Myanmar) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut ruby with old mine cut diamonds
Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The diamonds are VS2 to SI2.
Carat – The ruby is 2.17 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.44 carat.
Circa – 1950.
